Announcing the 2025 Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year, Daniel Carvalho dos Santos

Each year during Red Hat Summit, we recognize Red Hat Certified Professionals who make a difference in their organizations by demonstrating enthusiasm, commitment and dedication to their role and industry. We’re proud to announce that Daniel Carvalho dos Santos, infrastructure analyst at Banco Bradesco, has been named the 2025 Red Hat Certified Professional of the Year.

Daniel has worked hard to achieve a variety of Red Hat Certifications, including Red Hat Certified Architect (Level I and II) and Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHEL Linux 7 and Ansible RHEL9), Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHEL Linux 7 and RHEL Linux 9) and Red Hat Certified Specialist of 6 different Red Hat product specializations. Earning these certifications highlights Daniel’s commitment to open source technologies and excellence in the IT field. 

“Achieving Red Hat Certifications has been a huge milestone in my personal and professional development,” said Daniel. “It has proven my ability to tackle complex systems and projects, enhancing my contribution to my team and affirming my skills in the eyes of the industry." 

By leveraging Red Hat Learning Subscription, Daniel was able to upskill for complex projects, enabling him to be a strong contributor on his team and solve new challenges as they arise. Through the Red Hat Learning Subscription portal, he accessed learning materials and labs with ease, accelerating his ability to tackle new technical challenges as they come.

“Daniel is a dedicated, highly-focused professional. He has a wide-ranging knowledge of what he’s doing that is backed up by his technical knowledge and understanding of how things work,” said Renato, product owner of the container as a service team at Banco Bradesco.“In his day-to-day work, he incorporates skill development and learning into his work with project delivery and the development of our platforms.” 

For more than 20 years, the Red Hat Certification program has had a single goal – validating skills through a program with rigorous, hands-on and performance-based testing. Red Hat’s certifications can help system administrators, application developers and IT architects advance their careers and help close the skills gap facing the IT industry. Red Hat certifications establish benchmarks for what an IT professional should know when using Red Hat technology.
